Daraufhin schlug der Ausschuss für Landwirtschaft und ländliche Entwicklung dem Parlament vor - und dieser Vorschlag wurde auch angenommen -, das Projekt zurückzuziehen und die Kommission erneut darüber beraten zu lassen.
